I saw conversations about a minecraft 2d on the nd´s forum.
I seems to be the same game.

For starters, I just don't get the appeal of MineCraft at all.

I like minecraft, run my own server with some 8 friends.
I have to say it only appeals to me as a multiplayer game with friends(SMP) and some audio conversation going on.
...boring to play alone.

I love the appeal of 'programming' MineCraft,  but not playing it, not my type of game. 
The 'unlimited' randomly created world aspect is what makes my brain tingle!   

Ya, apparently (reading the comments on the YouTube link) the original MineCraft guys did this 2D version.

Slydog its totally my type of game. I loved Minecraft. The first 6 hours playing it was one of the best gaming experiences I've had. In time I built haunted forests, luxury apartments, island paradises, secret bases deep in the ocean, a kind of "temple to an unknown god" and then started to wonder, why the hell am I doing this? In singleplayer?!
