Windows CE 5 Emulator

Is there any other Windows CE 5 emulators apart from Microsoft's one ?  That unfortunately needs XP Professional or Windows 2000 - and setting compatibility mode for the latter doesn't work

I've got discs for both, but they're are currently misplaced.  If you had a pro-edition of Win7 you should be able to downgrade.  Or some older systems with Vista I believe could be downgraded as well.

I would just install Windows 2000 in an emulator - if I can get hold of a copy

You can find a handful of copies of Win 2k Pro on Ebay, seems about $40~  There was one that was $5 with 2 bids.

Got hold of a copy, but alas the stand-alone Win CE 5 Emulator just crashes at start-up.  Going the embedded VS 4 routine would mean a whole lot of re-installation due to the limit I set on the hard drive...

Well that's a shame, I'll have to try the emulator myself in both OS's

Turned out I had it installed on my Netbook running XP home, works fine.

Haven't attempted to create anything for it though.

What service pack does it have ?

I believe its SP3
