Bywater BASIC is also free. They don't want to be seen advertising commercial software really, seeing as they are a non-profit org.

Shame :(
I came. I saw. I played.

But, is the magazine a indie attempt or is it from the raspberry pi people?
If the later, then I could understand, but if it is the former, I see no reason.

Also you can get GLB for non-comercial without 3d and net commands right?
Woulden´t this fit the bill?

No non commercial 2D version is free only for Windows/Linux/Mac, not for mobile devices.
Lenovo Thinkpad T430u: Intel i5-3317U, 8GB DDR3, NVidia GeForce 620M, Micron RealSSD C400 @Win7 x64

ops. correct, just standard platforms.

The Raspberry Pi IS a linux pc and not a mobile device, however (and unfortunately) the code to compile for Pi is the Canoo/Pandora code (at the moment), so it won't run for more than five minutes with the free version.

Not sure who produces the mag BTW but I suspect it actually is the Raspberry Pi Foundation, as they stated that this is what they wanted to do to get kids/schools etc. back into coding.

I found disappointing due to the fact that they want to do an article on a language that doesn't look complete and hasn't been updated for 3 years or so...

I had never heard of it before either!
