Drop the Pixi

I think about dropping support for the Palm Pixi phones (400x400 resolution, old ARM chip). That would gain a performance boost to the Palm Pre/Veer builds.

Dump it , because the SDL / OGL ES support  ist broken by Firmware 
Also nobody has a Pixi ,because Pre2 is out and Pre3 will come .

While this is a very old thread, and my original response was to "let it go", actually owning a Pixi has changed my opinion. It's a really nice litte machine. Not as fast as the Pre/Pre2 etc. but it does a cracking job at most things.

There are actually TWO Dave Perrys in the games industry - one was the director of SHINY Entertainment and released games such as Earthworm Jim and MDK etc. The other is a games journalist, who calls himself the "Games Animal" and was a so called "expert" at every game, ever.

There used to be a show on UK tv called GamesMaster, and he (Games Animal) appeared in a challenge to beat a level on the then unreleased game Super Mario 64 on the N64. Things didn't go well for him and he claimed that the game was fixed - it wasn't, and he made himself look like an even bigger pratt than people thought he was. And he's got worse ever since.

So Dave Perry in the pole doesn't specify which Dave Perry, but both are equally well renowned... It's a bit of an in-joke over at RetroRemakes.com where many of us here visit/originate.

Ah, I've never seen that footage, even though I used to be an avid GM viewer back in the day. I've got to say his reaction is hilarious and he is a worthy figure to poke fun at. What a prat!

BTW, if someone wants to know, GLOWING SKY for Pixi had around 5000 free downloads and... 31 sales, around 5% of non-pixi sales.
