It appears, that, with a new installation of Ubuntu 9.10, Linux GLBasic programs wont run because libstdc++5 is no longer available.

Thus, the C++ library for Linux needs updating to libstdc++6

Hemlos

That is a beta version.
Is it possible they wont release that version lib with thier final release?

PS im moving this to bug reports.

I got his info from http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/karmic/alpha1

The Karmic Koala Alpha 1 is the first alpha release of Ubuntu 9.10, bringing with it the earliest new features for the next version of Ubuntu.
This is an alpha release. Do not install it on production machines. The final stable version will be released on October 29th, 2009.
Bing ChatGpt is pretty smart :O

Its actually in a beta state.  Looks very nice too.

Its doubtful it will be included in the released version - libstdc++5 is rather old now.
