River city ransom / renegade

You might wanna know there is KS going about a new river city / renegade game following the nes style.
I´m a huge fan of the arcade renegade, kind of game I would like to do myself.

They are close to the end of the campaing, go check:

But what is great is to check their work in progress and SPECIALLY Bannon´s pixeling style.

I loved Renegade. Wasn't over fussed on River City Ransom at the time, but I can see its charm nowadays. The new graphics don't really thrill me tbh - they just don't look right, based on the characters that existed before. They look good, but they seem somewhat off to me. They of course do work, but I wouldn't update them in that manner.

Still, it's the gameplay that counts and both Renegade and RCR had it in spades. I won't back it, but I'll be interested in seeing how it all turns out.

On the game, I agree. I prefer the renegade and the double dragon I and II visuals.

What I think was nice, was the way the guy creates his pixel art. You can check a bit of his pipeline and he has animation going on PS, didn´t know that was possible.
He also exports as to web to check on a browser on speed, something I usually do in code.

I won´t back either, since I´m a bit off to pre-orders and likes, and kinda am not fan of KS since they don´t accept projects from brazil but accept the money.

I might come to buy it when released though. Did you check the video? Could be inspiring on how we draw our stuff.
