GCW to buy Atari

Hello guys, thought I would share this here:

https://www.fundable.com/reset-atari

So it seems the GCW team is intending to buy Atari assets as Atari is somehow in bankruptcy.
What do you guys think of it?

I tried reading a bit of people´s reactions on dingoonity but the amount of piss going on there is tremendous, mainly because of SE delays.
But it sounds like a good idea/plan to me.

Only problem I see is that I think there will be people with truckloads of money after it too.
Maybe whoever acquires it at whatever degree is expected to try cash in on the old titles and may license some to GCW?
But again you can never tell what people may do with it.

Maybe it is time to knockout some quick atari rippoffs while the thing is in hand-exchange! :S :P :D :D

edit: ops, it seems by facebook they cancelled the campaing and may go another route. Oh well, anyways, I got interested in the atari situation, let´s what happens then.

I relly love this console the white color it's simple nice!!!, but I think if the product don't works the first time, now it's another error, I look the price... It's a lot of price... OUYA it's practically in the market, and yes it's another kind of console, but it's really more cheaper and more powerfull, if this console can do 3D things, whit quality, I think can be a good product...

But I think this it's more , like a Wiz or Cannoo, it's an emulator basically whit screen. I read about GPH, and the people says they don't make care whit the developers... then they create a console selling will be a nice console for develop , and after it's only an emulator, very nice, but...

Another things are , chinnese Consoles, I think here we put sometimes for 70$, a console similar to PSPortable, and runs emulators like N64...

For me it's a very nice Console but the price I think it's abusive or they are making some wrong... now how it's the market I think this will be simple vaporware...

I read nice things about it's possible program in python, I ' m not very sure this works. I think erico if you will buy one for develop better wait a middle time, and shows whats happends whit markets and all this things... another thing it's for playing your favourites games... but really 130 I think it's too much cheaper...

PS: Now I think the people whit consoles of this kind are very enoged... I don't know if you read something about the new "old" neo geo, I say old, because just now don't produce more units  :D :D, seems the guys put tinto the console, a Dongoo modified, and if you search in some place you can see the emulator of the PS1, I look a couple of videos of spaninsh reviewers, and if you press the buttons noises don't plays after a seconds, and a lot of extrage things... Neo Geo ohhh, again 80's...  =D =D a simple emulator whit a FPG'a , or a Dingoo?¿, To much Nostalia in this times... and too much "Cara dura"

Yep it is a strange scene.

I already have a caanoo, and am quite happy with it and the overall quality, it came around the same price, 130$ I recall but I payed a bit more for importing and so on.

While consoles like Zero and Caanoo and others stays on a 100$ level, it seems fair to me, they are portable. More expensive then an Ouya, but I kind of am not too fan of OUYA. The handhelds do come complete. Ouya you need a TV and some kind of sound system and second controller to add up to the price (and a couch too hehe).

The only reason I got a Caanoo is to have a handheld+portable GLBasic :)

On the emulation front, I don´t bother much, I get my kicks on it on the PC and am too addicted playing on keyboard.
But I´m interested on the homebrew scene.

The portable neo geo and the gamegadget were really bad dingoo clones. At last the neo geo one had that fine joystick (best to play king of fighters, but like I said, I´m already too addicted to play on keyboard to even bother for that, and price was horribly high.)

I think if the gcw zero can hold up things (like community and a store) it can be a nice substitute for the Caanoo.

I have doubts about the community though, the dingoonity forums and the pandora ones are a bit not too polite to people.
People seem to care too much on getting free emulations. :(
