Google down?

Is it just me or is google completely down? Gmail too.

Hacked? Maintenance? I wouldn't have thought the whole service would disappear. Have I got an anti-google virus?

Cheers chaps. I'm with SKY and have never had a single problem with them in the last few years. It's only Google - and anything Google related. Wonder why.

Well obviously they are blocked on SKY because of linking to copyright material you silly.

I found the culprit. It seems to have been a virus/trojan I picked up. Microsoft Security missed it. Identified and neutralized quickly once I checked MSCONFIG and Task Manager.

I use Avira along with a modified Hosts file

Until just recently I'd always used AVG, but it had started to become a real system hog, so I switched to MSE, which I understood was supposed to be pretty good. Obviously it isn't; I'll have a looksee at your recommendation.
