Sculprtris alternative

Since the demise if Sculptris, thanks to ZBrush, the free mesh deformation modeller scene has been a little quiet but there seems to be a new kid on the block, Meshmixer. It has not got a full feature set and is only on version 0.4 but it looks promising.

This is great news.

I suspect the people behind ZBrush bought out Sculptris because it was a threat. I hope they don't do the same with Meshmixer.

so do I, it is really sad that sculptris never got an update after the "buy".

I usually go for a positive view on things when this kind of things happen... but as time goes by I really can´t see any other alternative then the "threat" one.

I don´t like zbrush, and taking time to model something only to have to remodel it again (retopology) after it´s done on a normal package is just bulls...t. There is exactly where sculptris works for me, work done once.

I better check this new one...
