HI, about device Palm Pre

Hi guys, I stay a one step for buy a pre palm of 2nd hand. Well the trouble is if this device works whit out SIM?¿, because I don´t use mobile devices for calls. I stay looking "info" in the net but I want stay sure before to buy, because don´t is a enterprise, is a particular, and if don´t works, i think lose my money for nothing.

I staying looking this post, because I have to tell something in a little time, to this person.

Well I found this on the net, and I think can be a solution (UNLOCK the device whit any company, I think), another solution can be... buy a pre-paid card of the same phone company?¿.
It´s a simple solution whit another card whit chip and put together to you SIM, I read perhaps when Update the weobs can be don´t works, but I don´t kwon if this is really True

I use mine w/o a Sim card. I needed the sim to activate it, though. Then I turned on flight mode and enabled Wifi later.
