So, finally found it. Get the latest update (Menu: web/Internet Update) and with version 3.277 you should be fine off.
Please give me some feedback.

Yepp, now VGA Mode is working. I changed the PPC QGA version of Wumbo to VGA and voila.

Sorry...  tried rocket escape and 3d maze again...  it LOOKED like everything was going to be ok.  But it wasn't.

The "x" doesn't end the program...  I see "loading" when the program is loading.  But:

Rocket Escape: shows the score increasing at the top of the screen with a greyish quad-segmented box over it.  Nothing else on screen.

3D Maze: shows the 2D representation of the maze in the upper left, and the coordinates...  but nothing is drawn of the maze itself.

In both cases, had to soft reset the machine.

Tried the 4 across demo in the pocket pc directory...  It works for the most part but the mouse is off by at least 1/3 of the screen horizontally and possibly vertically as well.
