Ending a Linux program

I'm hoping its just my linux machine, but when you exit the included program (with the ESC key), it has the rather unfortunate effect of also logging me out.

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04

I can't confirm that.

I suspect its my copy of Ubuntu with an ATI card, for it does exit properly on my other Linux machine...
