HI something Extrange when I compile my Code (Solved I hope :P)

I I'm not sure if the problem it's cause of GLbasic or somthing with Windows 8 (this s.O have a lot of problems with the permissions).

Well sometimes when I compile, my code crash, but when I see the .exe of my Application appears the Shield , like I need Administrator privilegies for execute... I never see this before in the .exe of my app...


SOLUTION: For if anyone runs his program and in another lauch don't works. (This it's in Windows 8 )
I use a program called takeowership, and change all privlegies of the forder of the sourcecode, media and .exe
And I say to GLbasic main program , the ICON, search compatibilty, said me SP3 of Windows Xp.

Now runs... I think the most important Step it's the last, so befor I try to change permissions and don't runs.

just joking, I would not know as I run win 7 here, but it does sound like the win 8 stuff.
Best check with glb users running that OS.

Jaja , the guy it's a 80's singer from Silent Circle, I think it's a Deutsch Group, but singing english, in my country I never listen in 80's and I like a lot... The face it's for the haircut, the head seems like an skirrell 

About the problem I think it's windows 8 too ... I hope in windows 1200 runs better, 17 years making the same program and don't runs fine... Microsoft have to pay very bad at finish of the month. 

Now will appears windows 8.1 , I'm waiting like a kid the new surprises, code deleted magically and this things, only they avoid the only nice bug, the Blue Screen 
I think I go to install 7, I stay 2 hours with the same...

I usually go around skipping every second win release, so from 7, I will jump to 9 and only if extremely needed.
I remember Mr. Tatoad mentioned GLB works fine on win 8, so it must be all the permissions stuff?

Joking aside, Silent Circle is the name? I will check it out.

Here on win 7 I had some trouble with those at start, but never crashed, it just displayed annoying msgs stating the .exe is not microsoft certified and it also usually changed the depth bit of my desktop making things go really horrible.

I guess you have to take a look at the win 8 system and disable those bullsh*t, but I don´t know anything about it, so better wait for some win 8 users to come along.

About the msg in windows 7, you can change in security , into Control Panel, you put the slides at down , and all runs without using this security...

I use win8, because I bought original, 30E in Microsoft shop when they launch it... It' very nice, but really this theme of the permissions happens a lot of time.. perhaps it's something with paralells, really this into a Hard drive into a mac, perhaps make exrange things..

About the group , it's Silent Circle, skirrel, well it's for the shape of the head of the singer... (my crazy ideas  )

Yep, that was done on my win 7 day one.
It actually complained about a lot of indies executables, really nasty stuff for those who can´t figure out a way around.

Microsoft tries to certifies its apps, which is good, but that is kind of weird if you imagine people without system knowledge...they may come to think legit software is bad or a virus or anything else. It does not do much good me guesses, and as far as I know, windows is the prime platform when it comes to dev innovations.

If you install GLBasic in the standard location, you must give it administrator permissions, otherwise it won't run properly.

You could probably get around that by installing into the root of a hard drive.

Don't care MrT, I installed again Windows 7, really I don't know if it's parallels or thw same Windows 8, but I never had any version of windows with thi quantity of problem with permisions... seems when you do a Upgrade like me, it's common all this problems...

I wait 8.1 it's free for 8 users, they said not it's a simple Upgrade... we will see .
