The installation failed, it couldn't install the "editore.exe"

Running the update and then killing off the old "editore.exe" process via CTRL+ALT+DEL before it tried to install the new one, fixed the problem.

Is this with XP x64, Vista x64 or Windows 7 x64 ?  I had no trouble with the Vista...

Was the file marked as read-only ?

Nope, tried that, the update program simply did not seem to be removing the editor from memory before installing a new editor, thus causing a file locking error. Simply killing off the process, during the installation, worked for me.

Kitty Hello

question is - why was it still running!?

I have no idea, I was in the middle of editing an unimportant program, when boredom prompted me to click on web update... I usually check for updates before I load in a project. Other than that all was normal.
Cheers,

Ian.
