PLAYMUSIC in Linux

Some tunes in Linux seem to crash the running linux program with :

Quoteterminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
  what():  std::bad_alloc

This happens with both 32 and 64 bit Linux

I've included the offending tune - I use STOPMUSIC to stop previous music.  As this is probably caused by running out of memory (!) I wonder if there is a size limit in Linux for music ?

The music does exist too...

There does also seem to be a problem every so often with starting a program too (2 or 3 segment faults and then runs properly).

on a real computer or emulated? Darn....

MrTAToad

Real OS - emulated seems fine :/

Kitty Hello

oh my. And it's related to the music? Can you try with another codec? Maybe the mp3 lib is buggy?

MrTAToad

Yes, I'll try OGG music...
