playmusic not working with midi files

Hi,

I am having problems getting any midi files to play using the playmusic command. MP3 files and wav files work fine just not midi. The midi files work fine in windows. Anyone any ideas?

um, maybe I could have the answer, are you completely sure its a "midi" file?, because if you use for example : PLAYMUSIC "Music.mid"; at least it worked with my midi files, named on windows as "Midi Sequence"...

That's the error Ian had intermittently.  The latest patch has some debug information - maybe you can try that and post back here?

I couldn't find any error log file as mentioned in the patch. However when I change the extension from .mid to .midi I get a different error message although it still plays in windows fine.

I did see that in the patch it metions its planned to be removed+fixed so i guess I will just wait. Thanks for the help anyway.
