Hi Guys

On the off chance some of might have had a similar issue....

I use 12.096

I was upgrading my AE so I decided to install GLB 12.308 to GLBasic_v122 folder
(keeping my GLBasic_V12 folder intact - for older apps etc)

I installed AE using the installer and said to install in GLBasic_v122 folder as above...

Now neither install works for my app to compile for Android?
Any ideas how I can get my older install back working?

[ proguard was disabled for the new install ]

Uh Oh!

My Glbasic v12 has changed from v12.096 to v12.001 and my android platform files are all gone...!??!


I copied basckup files to the folder for the ant directory now getting this...


BUILD FAILED
c:\Program Files\GLBasic_v12\Compiler\platform\android\android-sdk-windows\tools\ant\build.xml:479: The SDK Build Tools revision (17.0.0) is too low for project 'glbasic'. Minimum required is 19.1.0

Re-installed some files and got the majority working

Tried disabling the proguard by renaming the files in templateproj and renaming the proguard etc files in Android/bin for project...

But the proguard keeps coming back.

im guess the glbasic updater from ide might not like Android Extras and require a reinstall to install it again and then used the stock android (sdk-8).

You should not worry about proguard-project.txt. Its commented out in project.properties

You should also try to remove bin, libs and src foldes in your distibute folder to make sure you got a clean compiled project.

PS. Im did only checked with 12.096, but should works with 12.3x throught.

No joy there....

I just want to get my older version 12.096 back working for timebeing

Is it not possible to have GLB v12.312 and GLB 12.096 on same machines? Using different apis?

What should i try next?

Currently I have manifest with api-14 (used to work) and with api-19
neither working...

im not sure what its failed? But as im wrote to in the pm, om are now upload 2.4b2 with possibile fix (im might accidently have copied th stock glbasic android files over without checked that), and updated the manifest.xml file (which was the old one).

That version did im succes fully compiled in both 12.096 and 12.312 on the same machine. Im have 12.096 on the d: drive and 12.312 installed on the default folder. When you install AE, make sure to uses the correct glbasic folder of course, if you have multiply instances of it.

I will try re-install AE on 12.312...
just dont know why my older installation is not working now...

migtbeen some files and folders got locked, so the AE installer could not update the files? etc the SDK was newer updated correctly. Do make sure to close the edtior before installing to prevent it.

If its still not compile, then remove the 3 folders from the distribute\Android dir to prevent some files got dublicated (which also can cause a failed compile). Alternative delete anything except the manifest file and retry. This make sure anything got updated correctly.

PS. If you used 2.3 or below, then you needs require to remove the src and libs folders first, because the storekit thing is now using a jar file rather the java files. But howver you would been warn about dublicate files, if you forget that.....

Looks like I got my older version back working...now I will try to solve the newer one...
Thanks for getting back to me! If I can resolve I will look at the newer version...although I feel a bit safer copying the AE files manually...

that could have cause trouble too, since the installer needs to update sdk (and delete old files), libs and java files. Sometimes im even changes them between AE versions too (like the ads thing example). That why im dosent have a manually zip version. Its in this time simply just to unpractical to do.

PS. You also confuction me to uses two thread as well pm's.

try to move the glbasic to a different folder without (). Its a well known issue which Java Android dosent like so much and can cause some issues.

Im do see you have mixed file and have tried to update some files youself with some unexpected result.

Android Extras only uses api-18 files, but using api-19 thing by setting kitkat devices to fullscreens (which diddent required a full update from api-18).

Im do perfer you let did the installer do the job without manually copy them. thanks.

PS. You can allways do that in a new folder and choice the new glbasic folder (after updated to v12.3 of course).
