Crazy idea for a Platform "Scientific calculator"

HI I look today this scientific Calculator and I look what can do, really impressive... Perhaps this can be a nice platform if will be possible develop for this , really not it's too much expensive about 150€, and can runs graphics colors....

I can't really see these taking off if I'm perfectly honest. What can this do that my phone can't? Simple answer, nothing. Interesting find though.

The hardware keys are a lot better that a touchscreen. I use an HP48G daily instead of an emulator.

Hardware-keys are a must. You can't type as fast on a touchscreen nor as exact. And it's really hard to type on a touchscreen without looking :-)

I can see why people would like the emulator. With my mathematics background (such as it is) I have spent a lot of time with my TI-84 Silver graphing calculator and I have always wanted a software emulator for programing and for homework (It runs TI-BASIC). Yet I have never wanted to part with the money when you can get the hardware for a lot less than the price of the emulator. ($156!?? REALLY?!!) Fortunately the emulator itself can be had for free. Unfortunately, for the thing to work you must take a flash image of your calculator's chip using antiquated software that runs under Windows-95. I have the software in case I ever again come across an ancient '95 system. But so far I'm limited to passing code back and forth through my mini-USB cable each time I want to test the code to see if it will run. An emulator would be so much nicer.

PS: Windows 7 comes with a really nice scientific calculator option, as well as a programers option which can handle binary, hex and oct.

I have tree calculators since the university (one programmable in Basic) and I don't use it since years. I use my phone for basic calculations, and a spreadsheet in pc for complex calculus. But I have a good remember of all.
