Hyper Recommended Soft---- :)
« on: 2012-Apr-21 »
HI i found a couple of weeks this soft... I don´t touch too much yet, but I´m sure someone here can found very useful....

The soft it´s this:

http://www.rigzsoft.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=41&Itemid=24

Not it´s too much expensive, but you can create a lot of GFX awesoming, whit only a few clicks... waterfalls, explosion... text grafics, lights FX...

I think this soft, have to be included in any list of soft for create games... of video-Editing....

You can download all the libraries for free, when you export to .png, can adjust automatically a loop, of awesoming fxs...

Not a bad price either (£30)

ExGen does pretty much the same thing too - http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=view_product&id=2155 (£19 for those with a bit less cash). I won a copy of ExGen in a coding comp many years ago and it is extremely capable, although I've not used it for much recently.

It does look like TimeLine offers a fair few extras over ExGen though.

Hemlos once wrote a particle engine that was pretty much capable of these things in real time. Must search the forums for it.

Hi All,

Indeed I have actually had TimelineFX for a while now, well worth the price of admission.
Very capable utility.  There is a module included for using the created effects in bmax, a glbasic version of the module would be wonderful :)

BTW, all particles can be exported as image maps or individual images as well, so perfectly suitable to use in a custom particle engine.

Regards,
Dave

I have a habit of downloading code that posted in the forums I read to save the hassle of searching for it later  :D, even if I have no use for it at the time (or may never use it) it comes in handy for when I do or to look at the code & learn from it.

I thought the original program in the 1st post was 2D only as it generates sprite sheets, I didn't get round to reading the full description on the site as program required money & that I am saving up to buy my GLB license  =D
