Question about OS X Uni compilation option.

Firstly I'm currently using the demo version so that may or may not be the problem - although I made sure I used the updater.

Anyway I compiled one of the examples using the OS X Uni option which, according to one of my Mac using friends, should make an executable for both PPC and Intel archetectures.  However when he tried to run it, his MacOS X Intel machine said that it was a "Mach-O executable ppc" and couldn't run it.

So is it because GLBasic generates executables for MacOS X PPC only (which I doubt)?  Or did I do something wrong during the compilation process (far more likely but all I did was select OS-X_Uni in the project options and the Compiler/Build-Multiplatform)?

The png library is still causing problems, so the binary is PPC so far. However, it should run through that emulator that comes with intel macs.

Fair enough.  So when/if the png library is sorted I'm guessing the Universal (PPC + Intel executable) option will be added then?

Slaying/massacring what?  Now you've confused me (not that it's difficult to do :P). :)

I like how far GLBasic has come BTW.  Looking forward to seeing what the other guys from RR come up with for the competition.

Trucidare is the one who did most of the work for porting to Mac OS-X.
I don't even have one. (Can't - or don't want to - afford one).

Aha, ok now I get you.  My apologies to you and Trucidare.  I've seen the name on the forum, I was having one of those brain-dead moments...  I don't have one either but I do have friends who use them.  I'm interested in writing a small game for Windows and MacOS, but as I can only barely afford this Win32 machine I'm using right now, I'd need something that could cross-compile...
