Spectrum game

Can  anyone remember the name of a Spectrum game where you had to protect creatures from evil bubbles - cant remember whether I asked this before or not now , but with the mentioning of Z80 code, I thought I might as well as now.

Describe it better than "evil bubbles"

Were the bubbles enemies that looked like bubbles or were bubbles spit out/created by something else ? Describe the player character. Scrolling? Flick screen? Platformer? Shoot'em-up? Avoid'em-up?

Player goal/aim?

From what I remember it was a single screen, single player.  A mixture of shoot-em-up and avoid'em-up.  Cant remember what the player looked liked, but moved towards a cross controlled by the player, and fired in the direction of said cross.

The bubbles & probably friendly creatures appear at the start of each level - need to destroy the bubbles before the capture the creatures, lest they be turned into something...

Are you sure it was on the Speccy? Could it have been a homebrew title?

Can you draw what you remember (even if it's a crappy mspaint job)?

Actually the game might have been "Cosmic Swarm", not "Cosmic Storm" (just looking at the WOS archive - there are adverts that show the blurb, which sounds similar to what you have loosely described).


[EDIT] BTW There's a game on the Atari with the same name - I suspect though that they are two separate games. Perhaps the name infringement is why the Speccy game is AWOL?
