WebOS slowdown when tapping like mad

Make an app that displays a moving image. Then tap the screen like mad. (Might need mousestate?)
The app slows down dramatically now.

I have no idea how to fix it, or where it comes from :(

Might be the touch pointer. You know the little ripples whenever you touch something. I turned it off on the TP because preware advised it slowed the machine down. Pre2 still has it though. Will try later.

Seems fine on both mine. Then again my only compatible game is 3D only although it does move around a lot. I do draw sprites for scores etc but they don't move.

It's a webOS bug - widely known on the official Dev forums, and as Crivens has stated is related to the ripple effect. They recommend turning it off (as Crivens has done).

I don't think there's anything you can actually do Gernot.
I came. I saw. I played.

Kitty Hello

nice. And I was thinking it's the sound engine.
The great thing is - there's no official way to disable it, so I have to deal with it. My SEUCK has auto-fire now ...

Apparently Preware was supported by HP. If I remember rightly they even provided servers and hardware for them to continue development on. It isn't really like jailbraking or routing your phone and is more like installing an app that can then install others apps. A bit like a replacement app store more than anything else. The ripple patch just installs and you don't get ripple anymore. Can be uninstalled to get it back I believe.

it's also very annoying when you tap to paint dots. :(
I hope they bring a bugfix with the next OS update.
