Just got our new 13 week old Boston terrier bitch, who is now living with 5 year old staffy, 3 year old cat, me and the missus. That's a busy household  :good:

Dogs help to make a house a home and are more than just pets; they are part of the family :)

Photos?

You are totally right.
ItÃ,´s so great when someone is always waiting at the door with a big smile.
The best therapy to forget a bad day.

HereÃ,´s Maki, my litle retriever.
Look whatÃ,´s a smile.  =D

Schranz0r, it's sad to reference ones pet as stupid or fictional.

Same here. When they die, it's always  alot of screaming and whining. I don't want that, so I don't have pets. Sort of self-protection.

I could post a lot of pictures as we've had a lot of pets over the years (including a number of farm animals that were treated as pets, including a duck, a sheep and two cows that would follow you around the farm -- having a pet sheep can sometimes make leading the flock easier BTW).

These days I've just got two oriental cats.  Anyway this isn't a picture of them, it's a very old photo from when I was a kid that shows cats and dogs can get on.  It's an Australian Kelpie-cross playing with a Siamese cat.  :)  Sorry about the poor quality.  I scanned this back when scanners didn't work so well and the original is in a big box hiding in our shed somewhere.

The second picture is of our old Labrador that saved my life once when I was 2-3 years old.  I had escaped our backyard without Mum even realising I'd gotten out.  I was out on the pavement trying to cross a road that was one of the busiest in Mt. Gambier and was notorious for road accidents -- a number of which were fatal (my Dad went out once and found a motorcyclist who's head had been removed by a truck that he'd run into the back of...).  Anyway a neighbor saw Bertha following me around as I made my way around the block and everytime I went to step on the road the dog pushed me back.  Mind you I've always wondered why the neighbor didn't come and get me themselves.  Apparently they went and got mum instead.  :S

BTW I love the pictures posted so far!  =D

Dogs and cats do get on really well - I've got two dogs and three cats. The cats don't get on with each other, but hey ho...

These photos show my retriever Willow, being cuddled by my cat Bumble

Christmas is coming,
The goose is getting fat,
If you haven't got a goose,
You'd better cook the cat!
