Creating new project from new or existing file - compiler doesn't work

Can someone else please verify this?

Find a .gbas file and double click it to open it in the editor.
Select to Run or just Compile it
It will ask you to save the project.
Type any name you like and hit save
It will then ask to include the file in the project.
Say Yes.
It will now show you a message to say that it has compiled (even though I don't think it has)
If you now try to either compile or run, it doesn't invoke the compiler.

The same problem will occur if you open the editor and then a new file without creating the project first.
Tested on v7rc1, but I used to have the same (or a very similar) problem in the last released build of v6

Yes, I believe this is a known issue, have heard of it before on the boards. Always create the project using the guide first :-)

FutureCow

I always do - at least, right after I try doing this then remember it doesn't work *laugh*
Thanks for confirming it's not just me Moru.

Bad boy! Don't do that!

Open Project options once, then retry.

FutureCow

Thanks Gernot - I didn't realise you only had to open the project options to get it to work again (I usually quit then open the project I just created as part of the process).

Will that be fixed or stay that way?

Kitty Hello

I'll open the options for you. But please: _do_ use the wizard for new projects.
