Fail Fast Exception
« on: 2018-Dec-09 »
I've recently bought a new Windows 10 laptop and installed the latest version of GLB on it.

I'm getting frequent Windows pop-up boxes, stating "Fail Fast Exception", as seen in the attachment, when I compile some code. The code still runs and GLB doesn't terminate.

Anybody else getting/had/overcome this?

I never had it on my old Windows 10 machine and I only get it with GLB.

Any ideas?

LOL. I'd definitely much rather using Windows 7 but that's not an option. :'(

I'm running Win 7, and I'm getting problems too. So who knows.  :doubt:

@Heiko. It was a clean install. :(

@Robert. The same error? I've never had it before in Win7, 8.x or 10.

Never had such problem on Win7/8.1/10, but after fast search on google looks that it's not caused by GLBasic, rather software/hardware issues.
Generally after fresh install I run some bash scripts to disable 'advanced' system functions, like telemetry, background task (defragmentation, scanning) and other garbage...
Try some tips from net that should resolve the issue.
Check my source code editor for GLBasic - link

I had read up a bit before posting, but there's not a real lot I can do that I haven't done already and the problem only exists with GLB (so far).

Looks like something I might just have to put up with. The weird thing is, it doesn't happen every single compile - it's random.

Im have newer seen this before on any machines. No one also have reported it on any of the games.

So im thinks its more a issue with the Windows installation, which many extra software can been installed by the company (you did not wrote which laptop).

Im googled around. One ofthem was fixed by used various anti malware software on a forum with a similar popup. But should checking more about this issue, but can do not think its glbasic, when its happens random, but more about its a hardware failure.

HavenĀ“t seen this either. A quick google indicates it could be a win 10 build version problem or probably third party installed software.
If your system is clean, then it is probably the first issue. Do you have system updates to do? Or, can you revert last changes back?
It is hard to find info about it on the internet.

Possibly, but I don't think so.

I just ignore it now; there's no negative effects. I suspect my graphics card. Dunno.
