Anyone got this ? Will glb run?

I've been thinking about getting this as I think it runs Windows CE, unlike RPi, which would run GLBWinCE.

Ah matchy ;) allways the same ....

My old teacher of electronics, comment me, this board have a very huge Community, more than raspberry in less time, seems it's too much better than Raspberry but it's focused for another kind of projects, this seems more a very low Price powerfull PC, I think this have a tegra4--- this GFX card moves anything.

Matchy Sure this board will works whit the GLbasic Windows CE?¿, so I have to think if this or Raspberry, I take a look to the market of Raspberry and don't have too much movement, and the major part of app are free of charge...  :(

Actually I really don't know much about it and I am probably confusing it with the older board.

Now I feel like getting one now and I think I might order one on the weekend. Bonescript (node.js) looks interesting and would integrate with GLBHTML5 to get the GPIO going!!!!

Also I can then surely test GLBLinux (I presume) but I wonder if Window CE 6 or 7 OS can be installed but I haven't researched it much.

HI Matcy I read this board runs whit Linux Android and WinCe
I'm not sure if this WinCe it's GLbasic...
http://beagleboard.org/project/WinCE7+BSP+for+BeagleBoard-XM/

But really I think this it's too much better choice than a Raspberry, seems the Community it's very very active... whit this boards I have a doubt, what do whit this, Arduino it's only a IC and it's like make you own circuit for alamr, or connect to the Amstrad CPC, but this?¿, it's a computer like I'm using , for servers for torrents (well perhaps for make a Hi-Scores servers and don't pay too mcuh for electricity)

Keep us informed about your projects whit this board Matchy...  ;)

mentalthink, I think the timing is right and so why not really when I do see it everywhere now and it is next to the RPi. I also need to get at micro HDMI cable at least but that's about it apart for the rest for shipping as there are no local suppliers. To keep costs down, I'll find a console cable and power supply later.

I'm really pleased with my Beaglebone Black  :enc:, that arrived yesterday and I've tried out Ångström (default), Ubutnu and Debian only via ssh and rdc. When my micro HDMI to HDMI cable arrives, I will be able to check out WinCE6 & 7 and Android  Jellybean, and many more but they take 45mins and I just got it, although more importantly test out GLB on those OS.  ;)

Thanks Matchy I will wait for a video in Youtube whit your experiments... I have to see if finally I will buy this month...
Uhmm I remember now, if can be interesting for you for arduino you have this TFT screen, they are expensive, but it's beacuse have an internal chip accelerato, doens't is like I have from china, on the refresh screen it's about 2 seconds  :D :D,...

The pandora port might work.

Feels faster as rpi ?

Nobody ?

Yes marmor it's better than RaspBerry pi, it's a board a bit different... but the Hardware it's more powerfull than a Raspberry.

i hope gernot implement the gpio for glbasic !!!!!!

Please !
60 ports i/o is awesome and one of my Dreams come thruth .....

My Beaglebone is cool but not doing at the moment (any ideas?) much like my RPi.  :P If you want to perform simple GPIO on the RPi or BBB for now use the GPIO utility to output to a file then read in GLB because SHELLCMD doesn't return command return values.  :S

I have an idea but its my secret ;)

Id like to see somthing like port(11) = 1
And a = port(x)
The file idea isnt bad but i need speed !

How fast do you need it and can you do it with Arduino?

Hmm

I need around 50 switches per sec.
Minimum 25 (guess)
For all io !

Because i dislike extra multiplexing or extra
Electronic parts.
So 50 Hz and some millisecs for interna.
I know arduino but i will do this with the bbb
Because much other projects.

Gtx

50 switches without multiplexing or parts doesn't seem like a wise choice to me and a reason to use the BBB. What are the switches for?

ok here is the idea behind :
u need a beaglebone with network and two handys.
both handys are the controller and connectect to over wlan with the bbb.
on the bbb runs tetris ( in this case) .
it plays the sound ,shows the score and the playfield on a 30x30 led matrix.
or create a clock, or a twitter client on the matrix.

got it ?

i dislike the multiplexing and like the easy to understand matrix, because its a project with kids!

Tetris on a matrix? Project with kids?  I think there no need to continue with this pointless discussion regarding the need for GPIO access in GLB.  :'(

Whats the problem with ? U mean its to hard for the kids ?
Dont think so , they show much interest and understand
Some elektronics .
They  also build some led cubes with the father
So i think its a nice project .
Play tetris on the wall !! I think its great ....
And not pointless.

The projects are cool, and I am keen to make a 3d cube, but I thought we were trying to establish the use for GLB on BBB rather than outline what could be possible on other devices.

Kitty has a bbb ! Ocean sends him a sample
with a "port glb to bbb or ..."
So i think glb comes next to the bbb.
I hope its better as the buggy rpi .
If gpio running out of the box he is my hero!
