Hi Bigsofty and Erico thanks... I think now I update my Blog more regulary (I have to do my web too :noggin:), basically now I have to do a lot of art work, because the code it´s practically do it at 99%, in some things special I have to pick code.. but practically it´s do it...
About the images in the papers, are the real models appers in the game, all this graphics are done, only I retouch a bit whit PS and put some toon shader... Really PS it´s awesome tool!!!

Just this night I make this graphic... not it´s finisehd yet, but I will put something more in detail whit Photoshop... I have to do an Editor for this kind of sprites, this not it´s an enemy... in this case in some parts, the metal will be funded and then appearas enemies... how if the enemies are into the ship and they are destroying it...
The editor will be for put arrays for the sequence of drawanims and some layer for add some bloom fx and another sequences for special GFX...
The good things it´s all I´m doing the devices are eating... at least the iPad 1 can move all very fluid...

The design is excellent, somehow seldomly reminds me of some of the star control II ships altough it has nothing to do with it originally.
Thing is hard to criticise, maybe the light direction? I don´t know, and it is not even a finished piece, as you said you are going to still post-process on photoshop.

I leave here another model I did yesterday too... was productive the last day... this not it´s complete I have to texturize, but I think the shape of the model it´s nice... well I think this.. perhaps it´s a shit... :-[
The background it´s for my new Webs, I wait for Gernnot put the Html5, else I do whit Processing, it´s something like Arduino programming but can do very nice things for the web... it´s Java Script, but very easy...

@backslider, yes it´s true.... the good thing of use 3DS Max whit GLbasic it´s we have an Exporter made for Vladimir... for 3D in RealTime goes very well, not all graphics I use 3DS Max, a lot of times use Cinema 4D or another tools... Now I have to use Modo, becuase I need make enemies very organics, and 3ds max don´t have "Sculpt" mode.... In the market we have another tools like Zbrush, Coat or another free , I think Erico uses it, but I don´t rebember the name... but you don´t have very important tools for animate and make another little things...

HI I leave a couple of video test... for you can show a bit in movement... it´s only referent to the first enemy... at the last of the screen appears a huge 3d model.. this it´s not main, it´s a very good free 3d model I get from internet...
Finally real Boss enemy appears at the end of the Stage 1-B, in the blog I show a bit the 3D Scenario of the inner of this ship comes form the Depth Space
And this another video... this it´s for show a bit a ship like on we start to play the game... in this huge ship, I have to make some parts of metal melts and perhaps I agree an enemy doing some pattern.. something like a great bug or similar in some games on appears enemies makes whit sprites following the first sprite (I don´t if I explained well :S)
The Enemy it´s this: I have to make work whit the textures and a little animation of the head... the legs now are moving.. but I have to do a better movement...
PS: Are testing things and it's very probable in the final game don't appears like in this videos...

Wow... Considering the amount of effort put into the models (and everything else I suspect) it seems your game is also a long-term project. I hope that one day, we can congratulate each other on finishing our games and selling a lot of them! :D
@Matchy, well about thinking or drawing sketches... I never do, and I never did, when I work in something whit 3D.
My hand-drawings are worst than a kid of 6 years old--- Basically I don´t have any idea for draw... It's true sometimes I do a model 4 or 8 times and the final model it's really bad... (About the complexity, really not it´s too much, think whit only boxes and geometery like tubes and very simple 3d models, you can mount something and tell, uff very complex...
this model , the enemy it's like an Octopussy, I waste about 15 min for do it, make this whit Pixel art, how do it r0ber7, then I say yes--- its' very complex, 3D make the life easier) :D
@r0ber7, Yes the game it´s like yours... I think if you do casual games (I have planned to do too), you can't create too much interest in the people, basically the reason it's the 99% of games in the market are Casual and you can emphasize over the tons of games in the market... The problem it's will be profitable... I´m sure will not.

Hi guys, finally I can show somthing running in black sound... a lot of things will be change, but I think whit this little video you can make a light idea about the game...
Some errors in the game occurs now, but the very hard work, it's finished, I only have to pick some special code for some enemies, and well for the big bosses, but this it's thing for the Betatester, he's it's who have to do the playibility.
Basically this it's the first Stage, and when I have all right, I put a little postporduction in graphics, and perhaps in some efects, but I think will be very similar to this graphically speaking.

Sorry for the quality and some parts of the video it's bit jerky, but the mac mini can't saved better the video, the quality it's the real in the game, but for 480x320 screens, in mobile don't appers blurry.

Project X on the amiga had a nice one right as first level, the background is a bit too "vista-pro" for today´s standard but the color tone is quite nice.

I´m appending a project X screen shot here so you can clearly see that should team-17 knew you back in the 90s, they would have hired you and project X would be a better game.
I like the new ship, but what I like more is that they are all holding to a style you created, that is really cool and I think it will make a big difference!

HAHA mine was Imagine 3d... 3 balls, floor and sky, raytrace, 320x240...took 24h to render :o

Really I don't know, my idea about launch the game I hope can be after Summer, or before, but i'm not sure beacuse I have to do a lot of work yet... but now I can work more speedly this it's true.

The timing for walking thing is difficult, I would like to see how that goes!
I remember I was really impressed on Space Manbow on the msx2 back on the days...specially on the huge tank boss, the way it moves on the ground, always got my mind hooked on how things move on ground.
Don´t forget to do a level on a huge ship/tank/sub or something better :good:
I heard the msx guys did a manbow 2 sometime ago, I have to check that too.

About this Enemy it's like, the War of the Worlds... really it's now animated, in less than 5 min... really ut's very easy, becuase the legs are do whit Nurbs, I only have to move the Circles in the sections in some specifics keyFrames... it's easy, now don't works very fine, but I think not it's a bit trouble, basically this "Enemy" it's a bit for the Backgrounds, for drawing something... but now I don't have nothing in mind :D
About Space Bambow 2, I think MSX have a version ... I never have an MSX (really a want buy in Phinland, only cost 40E an MSX2, in my Country, now the Spculation pass from building to 8 bits Computers :D :D, minumim cost 100€), really I look this game in youtube and seems like a Arcade, it's really awesome like a Z80 with some Custom chips did... basically seems an Amiga (obviously this it's the Best Machine of all the times)
If you do a Shot'em up, and need some code , comment me... I'm cheaper 1000€ for code Line :D :D , (Seriously, if you need some part, or need help, comment me, no problem!!!)

About the R-Type support, the player, have a Satellite giving rounds over the ship, and then when you press the button the satelitte accelerate and lauch the Hyperion... a very destructive Shot... You can put the module in front or rear the ship..
Perhaps if the game goes well in the market, I want add multiplayer, but really I don't know if I can capable to do this.. I thing it's complex make the conection between 2 devices and they runs whit out delay...
Well I finish just now, another model finally I do't think this will be the final render.. this it's lake a cave for some walls and then appears enemies from into it...

Well now the standard in the Soft 3D it's python, and python it's really easy... Just started yesterday to make simple things in Cinema and it's very very fun... in LW I think you have Python or they put in the 12, it's the normative language for all Suites 3D...
About programming seriously in 3D, yes I think it's a bit complex... too much maths... But I think only it's the time you waste in study these materies, Maths really not are very very comples, if the teacher explains very well, but really this it's complex... If anyone understand Spaninsh (obviously if not is Spanish =D =D) , you tube have a channel called. Las matematicas.es, this guy it's the good of maths , explain... really really good.

Things don´t go the same as open gl on 3d suite as much as things don´t go the same 2d as photoshop.

Well I stay learning for make an exportter for GLbasic, really don't have too be too much complicated, only it's get the arrays of vertex and the UVW and make a dda, an AsCII file can works fine too... I hope I can will do...
About the 2 Players... in a Desktop computer it's easy, it's only Copy 2 times the code in some parts, the trouble it's in devices... I really don't know how works connecting a mobile from Spain to Brazil, or anypart of the world, and runs fine... Perhaps you finish the game and I'm just press Start, for the Delay... Really this I'm not sure...
In the fisrt version this not will added, after I'm not sure depends how go in the market the game...
About finish the games really it's very stressed task, when you have lot of time whit a development, really it's very tired mind, you don't see the light of the tunnel =D =D

Hi Erico, I don't decide yet but if woks fine, and I can sell in Steam or something like this, well only it's make some modifications, 3D have this adventage only say render to more resolution and you have the same... I think not it's too much trouble but it's more work... Perhaps when I finish the game I burn like Gonzo... I don't know how many hours I stay making things... and really I have a lot fo work to finish...
Ian for me was the same when I start to programing, I rebember when I did the Fantasy Bricks, I think my brains explodes... But now, well I'm not programmer but I understand a lot of things and ver interesting...
When I finish the game (in some century ) , I have something pendet whit another person in the forum, after if the people want and if erico want be too, can be interesting make a 3D course, whit some 3d soft... Really GLbasic can do very nice things, and more funny than Unity, and more cheaper... only have to make a lot of more tricks, but really make a 3D game a only guy whit a very good quality it's imposible, perhaps are 5 years of development, whit Glbasic can do very interesting 3D 2D games...
