Hm.. Ironically I wonder straight up PPC would bring in more clicks. Still an interesting marketing ploy, something worth considering.
Of course, personally I'm too lazy to 'like' something and register for an account on a site for a chance to win $5, and I'm not going to buy a $1 virtual raffle ticket for $10 either. I'd maybe consider it for $100. Again though I wonder if PPC is a cheaper means of advertising.
Omadan,
what's the response like for this sort of thing,
I see you've done it before with other apps.
Is the prize money enough to tempt people to atleast part with a $1 and write a review, as Falstaff mentions?
Hey quangdx, yes you're right I have done it before :)
Depends on the game, but I have had some good results.
I have also received replies that not worth to spend $1 for an app just to win approx $40. Some have e-mailed me minimum of $100 to get their attention. Cheeky monkeys :P
I wonder what a prize of $100 would result in, face it if around 150 people get it you have your money back.
It does really vary though mate.
Ill keep you posted on my new findings :P, I'm here to help all of you :P
