Hi All
I am looking at getting GLBasic but was wondering about:-
1. Is it as easy to compile to other formats as just one click (ie android, ios, etc)?
As other products you have to create various templates in visual studio and use other 3rd party software just to compile it. Like the idea of just one click and compile to different format.
2.When you get a licence is there free upgrades and if so is it limited.
3. When you get a licence and upgrade the free software do you get add ons as well, or are they extra. I saw mention of add ons and wondered what they are.
Thanks for looking at this post, in the mean time i will get used to the free version .
Many thanks
Scotty
1.- Yes, it is as easy as a just 1 click to compile for other targets. No templates, no nothing. Just 1 click and it is running on your device (except iOS, as you need to transfer the resulting code to a real Mac and run withing Apple's XCode).
2.- For 2 years I have been here, it has been always free upgrades. iOS, Android and WebOS (and other formats I do not use) has been free for me, at least.
3.- There are no add-ons. When you register, somethings that works for 5 minutes on some targets, had no time restriction. Also the "non-registered" label in such devices dissapear.
The free version is the same as the full, but with some commands limited to 5 minutes in some platforms.
Thanks for quick response!
I also read that the free version dont compile android and some others.
Going to have a play with the free version to see what it can do, then may well upgrade to full version
Thank you
Scotty

It is possible, but not as easy as it sounds, you must understand the platform you are doing code for and its limitations.
Very very few commands are not recommended when using platform Y, some coding technic can do better performance on platform Z.
If you master this kind of things, then yeah, just press a button.
GLBasic is the best solution available for eons for me.
Welcome.
Yes there is some issues that might been happens on some platforms and not on others. I have seen that in my game as well.
So Erico is correct :-D
And also, there is some template and setting setup before using iOS, which might been required for in xCode (as well for Android). Its often first time setup here.
when setup for those first work correctly, then its one click compile for supported platforms.
