You don't need a Pandora for this, as long as you can get someone to test it for you.  :)

Minion has a Pandora (as does Gernot). Perhaps they'd be willing victims testers (even if it's to ensure that the app loads)? Any other Pandora owners that want to be a victim err...tester?

Min? Gernot?

I have an idea for this, but 6 weeks isn't a particularly long time to get something up and running on a device I don't own.

yep time is short.

I have a game going that should finish anytime this month...I wonder if it will be worth to enter it.
It won´t win jack sh** , but it may be nice to participate.

That is, while we wait for our own GLbasic compo :P

By all means, if anyone would like me to test it thats fine.

And for those wanting to code for the Pandora and have no idea about its speed, then all you do is imagine coding something in ZX Basic for the spectrum, slow it down by a factor of 25 and youve got the speed of the Pandora ;)

hehehhe.

I will try to have it on the caanoo, I guess if it can be done then the pandora should have no prob.
Pandora runs linux after all right? I guess it should not be difficult to do it.

I sure would like some testing, thanks Minion

The pandora resolution is 800x480. Don't use GRABSPRITE or USEASBMP. CREATESCREEN works fine.
It has 2 analog joysticks and lots of buttons and a touchscreen that is resistive, so drag actions usually are not really a great user experience.

I can quickly test stuff for you, no problem. Min oughta be able, too.

Strange that I didn't hear about this compo earlier.

Thought Id dig out my Pandora and try some stuff for it. Tried to compile for Pandora and GLB decides to hang (MakeApp.exe has stopped working) Is this just me, or has anyone else got this problem ? Im reasonably up-to-date (version 10.209) Is this a "uninstall and reinstall GLB" jobby or do I have another problem ?

Fixed in current update. It was an internal buffer overflow. I should start writing my tools in GLBasic ;)

I see Gernot is supporting this competition by donating copies of GLB and notebooks.

Nice promotion :)
