Title: Forum not accesible in Chrome?
Post by: r0ber7 on 2011-Nov-10
I'd like to switch to Chrome instead of Firefox, but when I go to this forum I get a page saying "It works!" but doesn't show anything else. What's up with that?

don't use the ip address directly. Clear the cache.

Cleared cache, not using direct IP. Chrome and QtWeb both have this behaviour, so I suspect it's got to do with Ubuntu and its network settings. I turned off IPV6 in Firefox, maybe that's it...

Yep, that was it. Disabled ipv6 on system level and now both browsers work fine. Sorry for the confusion.

All I know is this version of Ubuntu has some ipv6 issues. Before (in Firefox) it led to inredibly slow DNS lookups. And it seems the same thing kept me from viewing this forum. I doubt it has anything to do with your server setup.
