Title: Keep the good work
Post by: nonom on 2011-Nov-01
Hi! I'm new here, I was practically all the day studying and compiling the basic samples and I'm happy with the results, that's make me purchase a SDK Premium a few minutes ago.

I hope start learning from all of you the next weeks, I'm so interested in back to my old knowledge about Basic and I'll try help to grown the community supporting and coding new games and applications.

Thanks for this tool! Is awesome!

Hello, nice to meet you. I am still new-ish to the community (having chosen GLB for my current game project back in around August), but have found it to be invaluable. I've been able to pick up the language pretty quickly thanks in large part to everyone responding to my questions when I've had them. So I'll be happy to help you in your quest to master it ;)

It's also great how involved the author is. If you ever run into any issues with a specific platform or the compiler or something that rests within GLB itself, you don't have to worry about waiting until a service pack 6 months from now to have it resolved.

Actually all these reasons are why I finally ended up recently decided to invest in all the necessary tools to develop for my iphone. Between the (used) mac mini,  Apple developer license, and GLB license, it cost a few bucks, but hey.. Now I've actually got testers running my latest builds on their iphones/ipads, and it's a very exciting feeling! and all thanks go glb :)

So good luck! Remember to poke around the code snippets available on the forum.

Before purchasing I was reading many hours around these pages and thinking what can GLB does for me, and well, the best value is the growing community, and here is the proof with comments like yours.

I have these three, iMac, Apple License and and GLB, could seems expensive, but your help and work around this forum haven't no price.

Thanks again

I did the same for 2 months, then got a demo version and got inside the forum...
...the community really impressed me, I wasn´t waiting for it as I have been away from forums for a log time.

Got my premium somewhere this year, it has been really good to be around these people and with such powerful tool.

It was just me the only one that found it, read the main page, and bought it, in just 1 day?

No ampos, we decided the first day too. We always wanted the GP2X but wanted something good and simple to program for it. Then my wife found GLBasic we directly bought the GP2X packaged with GLBasic from Evildragons webshop :-)
