looks good! :booze:
Looks brilliant!
It does look superb. Out of interest, do you do everything yourself, coding, graphics, sound, game design etc.?
yes :) i do everything myself :) i love making games
@djToon:
What suite 3D, uses for teh graphics, LW?¿.
A simple question only for ineterst, how make the face of the character , like flat color, how apply the "autolighting" to the material?¿.
Thanks in advance.
Iván J
the char is 2d sprite :) with x_sprite mix'd with 3d object
i use ac3d for the modeling
Excellent stuff. Nope, I'm not all envious of someone who can code, draw and do sound effects. :P
Stunning work! :good:
Can't wait to play this when you're done!
QuoteI'm not all envious of someone who can code, draw and do sound effects. :P
Ha, I know what you mean! I only know code!
I can see how people have done their graphics, and see how I would duplicate the style.
But I don't have the artistic talent to come up with original work on my own. :'(
Heck, even duplicating other people's style takes me forever.
I've spent countless hours tweaking my graphics or trying to achieve an effect I have in mind.
Usually my results are worse that what I had before!
Again, great job!
Remember - if you still want it published for the webOS - let me know!
Excellent achievement and style you carry on there,
to wear multiple hats is a tough thing.
as a constructive small critic I would drop the photoshop lens flare on that image,
it´s not bound to the style on the general piece. Not that anyone would bother that. :S
Congratulations! :)
the lends flare is glbasic :) its mutch more better in the game :)
flare is glbasic made? great! I remove my criticism :x
That is a menu-open screen right? Does it move (like minecraft menu for example)?
great work you have there.
That looks amazing! Well done!
Any chance that we can see a video of it in action?
will try to upload today
Impressive! Most impressive.
It looks absolutely fantastic and I wish you the best of luck! I'll definitely download it once I have my iPod Touch and you release it for that!
Are you making it for any other platform or is it specifically for touch-based devices? I have an Android phone, if you compile to that I'll give you cookies! :D
djtoon, I must say congrats for your work!
You are very fast (I'm working in my third game and in the meantime you made much more and always with great quality!) :nw:
Cheers,
thanks people, its all glbasic's falt :)
I really like the simplistic look to the controls. I typically hate on-screen joysticks, but two simple directional buttons and a jump off to the side seems like it could work.
And of course great look to the art!
Very impresive presentattion, looks like an studio preview.
The game have very good graphics, and well are made whit the software you tell me, it´s a very impresive work.
I hope to buy nearly.
A question... you tried the game under Android, for me the 3D models make something strange whit the normals of the polygons, and I try all modes in the x_Cullmode command
Please advise, when the game will be in sale.
Kinds regards
Iván J.
im hoping to get the game out on th 10/10
there is alot to do:
finish random level maker
art
sound
intro
tutorial steps
i didnt try it on android
so i dont know
:nw: :nw: :nw:
Ok, Djtoon, I stay waiting paciently, I want to play some "credits" to your game, and... random levels, :D :D this it´s a cool and nice idea.
Looks really good. :good:
Can you give us some code plz, to show us how you did things? E.g. the halo-effect (sun circles)... art isn't my strong point. ;)
@ Kanonet and sory for kidnapping the post:
Well about Flares, if you use some suite 3d or you can donwload, only are images, and I don´t look in the video if these images are in movement, but making a simple calculus from de 3D camera, you can have this effect.
I think if you search something about After Fx tutorial about flares in youtube, you can see what I can tell you, I don´t try but I don´t think it´s too much complex.
Well this it´s my manner to do it, but I don´t know how made DjToon.
Kind Regards,
Iván J.
