Hi.
I am writing one codebase that runs on PC, Mac and iPad.
The same code for playing and stopping music is running.
It runs fine on the PC and the iPad but strangely on the MAC OS X - it does not kill the music - which continues to play.. strange
my Code is along the lines of:
PLAYMUSIC "Game.mp3", TRUE
then. later I do a STOPMUSIC command
PC and iPad are fine with that but MAC OS X keeps on playing tune...
Sorry - I hate reporting bad news... I can live with it for now but a bit annoying when testing...
Just run into this bug myself.
Works fine in Windows, but Mac OS X just keeps playing the song after the STOPMUSIC command.
Not tested its happens here too. A little workaround meantime fix could to play a empty mp3 file and don't loop it?
Hi
Thats exactly what I do here - play a blank sound file - specifically on the mac codebase only - its dirty but it works..
Hopefully it gets fixed soon and I can remove my fixit routine!! ;-)
fixed in next update. Please do PAUSEMUSIC TRUE, then STOPMUSIC so far.
I tried PAUSEMUSIC True at the start of my program - correct?
Then STOPMUSIC later..
Unfortunatly on the latest update from today 10.230 - still not working on OSX Lion anyway.. in that the music doesn't stop playing.
Still using my workaround for now of playing a blank sound file.
Just to let you know.
