Title: iPad2 for 3D games, anyone tried yet?
Post by: shawnus on 2011-Aug-18
Hi, just a quickie, anyone tried and if so is it much better than the iPad 1? I was going to get an iPad 1 (to ensure backward compatability) but if the 2 is scorching ahead it might just be worth getting that and making the app 2 compatable only. (also the secondhand 1's are nearly as much as the 2's as far as I can see!).

Cheers, Shawnus

My games run fine on an iPad 2 from what I heard. No idea about the speed.

Well I think this can goes better, in my iPad1 the 3d works fine, only I think fault a couple of commands, like Specular and the normal map works fine in all platforms.

But runs fine, whit a great textures and a lot of polygons, in iPad2 how I say, I don´t have one, but if in iPad1 runs perfectlly, I think on 2 will go better.

The iPad 2 is a hell of a lot faster with 3D than the iPad 1 is with GLBasic  :good:
