Hi,
I'd appreciate if someone (yes, all) could add a thumbs up for my press release on slashdot.org:
http://slashdot.org/submission/1737808/BASIC-for-iOS-Android-and-WebOS (http://slashdot.org/submission/1737808/BASIC-for-iOS-Android-and-WebOS)
You're awesome!
[edit]
I think you must find it in "recent" on the main page and press the "+" there.
Voted it up!
How do you vote it up?
You might want to log in to find the vote buttons. You also have to go to recent and scroll down very far to find it. I can't figure out a way of searching that list though so just expand the list 3-4 times and use your browser to search for "glbasic".
YES!!! It's in "popular" now. Not on page 1, but it is. Thanks a very lot.
I can´t seem to find it anywhere, even after searching for glbasic.
Wow, Slashdot search sucks!
I tried everything too, even the two tags used: 'basic' and 'iphone', then I tried 'glbasic', then part of the title 'basic for ios', etc.
But it either didn't find anything, or didn't list this post in the results.
I ended up finding it under the 'Recent' page, but a few pages down, under the heading:
BASIC for iOS, Android and WebOS
Not sure what the tags are for, you can't search them and you can't click the less used tags anywhere to filter for them... Am I too old to get usable homepages or what?
Yeah same here had to wade through pages to find it as search was useless
I waded through RECENT and POPULAR twice, the whole click-to-expand stuff till no more...
still didn´t find it!
Ya, I can't find it anymore either.
What else sucks about Slashdot is that even when you are viewing a post from a direct link, such as Gernot posted, you can't 'thumbs up' that post! ?? :doubt:
Maybe a better headline would be "Rapid game developement for iPhone/iPad" or something? Need something that makes nerds stop the eye-scanner and look :-)
Well I don't see windows native gui anywhere without doing lots of C and includes? Most desktop apps don't use 100 CPU on idle just to redraw the screen.
what? You want a native gui?
Ocean wants the g-word to be washed away, I'm just saying that's hard without a native GUI.
