Hi,
my new laptop has the home and end key placed at the most stupid location you can think of. I wonder why they don't put it on the front lid of the laptop or even at the bottom of the device. Stupid DELL!
So, the next version of the IDE will feature the keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Direction for home/end and PgUp/PgDn.
Thanks for your attention.
[edit]
that was for move to previous location of the cursor. GAHH!! I'll not touch it then.
Wouldn't mind having shortcuts like this - makes it easier even on a normal keyboard.
I hate when they reinvent the wheel on laptop keyboards! :doubt:
My current MacBook has Fn and Ctrl keys reversed (Fn is left, ctrl right - Lenovo uses this combination too).
It totally kills my shortcut muscle memory.
And special bonus on Mac is that it doesn't have the Delete key!
And Del key is the most used key in AutoCAD (which I happen to use a lot).
So I have to press Fn + Backspace to get Del.
And these are diagonally opposite on the keyboard (bye, bye one hand shortcut - hello productivity killer).
But Fn is reversed, so I often press Ctrl. Gwaaah!!!! :puke:
Just one word for you. Autohotkey. Look it up... :-)
... Probably windowz only though.
:offtopic: Speaking of reinventing the wheel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BnLbv6QYcA (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BnLbv6QYcA)
The Mac Book Wheel. Revolutionary ;) :P
It was for Mac people - after all, they go nuts over anything new, like mice or voice-activation :)
Well, I think is better, I think is more easy, than push the keys, in a standardk Keyboard too.
Thanks for advice.
Kinds Regards,
Iván J.
