It looks as though HP/Palm have finally sorted out a Promo Code system, like Apple.

HOW THE HELL DO I DOWNLOAD THE GAME?
I have "clicked" in the "redeem" code url on Palm, but it only opens a web page with my app, and I dont find a button for "download" or "buy"... crazy.
Maybe you can't use a code if you already have the app installed on your machine?
I've redeemed a code for B'lox! - I've set the campaign to last for 7 days, starting tomorrow; saturday 30th April (it wouldn't do today).

With regards to feedback, B'lox! Free has been downloaded 2000 times now with 5/5 star ratings, however the last person to leave feedback stated that they couldn't find the full version on the App Catalog. I can see it, but can nobody else? It's still only sold 25 copies - now I put this down to the negative comments, but it may be more than this. Can someone please try to view B'lox! and B'lox! Free on the App Catalog from their Pre and let me know if they can see it. Cheers :)

There are only a few Palm sites and I have marketed to all of them. I briefly mentioned B'lox! Free and that has been downloaded over 2000 times now. I know it's free, but the feedback I'm getting from the free version is excellent. I think there's something here that I'm not seeing - like I stated above, maybe some users just can't see/get the full app from the catalog for some reason. Dunno.

BTW, I dont fully understand the "campaign time". Is the time the codes are actives, or after the time, used codes/downloaded apps are killed?
The codes expire after the time limit - not the apps.

I can see both the free and non-free version of B'lox... It plays very well. It might be an idea to mention that the 1.4.5 problems are fixed in the description.

There were no 1.4.5 problems. The only problem were with the PIXI. Don't forget to use the Promo Code if you want the full version :)
Is Spots on the App Catalog? I can't see it - there's a game with that name, but it's not your app :(
I'll will be giving out promo codes for Hit the Deck Baseball when HP releases the new version. Should be any day now.
I was surprised to see that HTD Baseball sold 69 apps and got a 4 star rating after all the problems. Should do very good once the new version
comes out and I start promoting.
By the way, the GLBasic transparency collision problem is still not fixed, so you will have to work around that problem.

No, mine isn't there yet (although its in the beta area). I'm waiting until the new version of GLBasic is out (and hoping the IRS will send me my tax code).
I've had 5 downloads so far, and (when the rating system was working), it average 4.5 starts

Has anyone got the "To view this app on your phone, enter your Palm phone number below." bit working ? I've entered my phone number, but haven't received any SMS messages...

I've only used the App Catalog and downloaded from there straight to the phone. Are you sure you've created an account with Palm for the apps (via your phone)?
Oh yes - I can download free ones. Cant pay for any as a credit card is required though... :blink:
Can't you enter your CC number or you don't have one? My VISA card was accepted without problem (I know that some users on the official Dev forum can't enter Euro CCs as their phones only allow Canadian, US and Mexican CC numbers).
You need to use the App Catalog tab at the top of the screen and Add Account (IIRC), then it asks for password and brings up your details and you then enter CC data, which is logged onto the Palm site, not the phone.
I entered all the details, but unfortunately I have a debit card and thus it gets rejected - it does state that a credit card must be used before the Palm profile is entered.
I believe someone on the Palm Forums has mentioned that it's a bit of a problem...

Didn't get a chance to enter a promo code unfortunately during the buying process... Managed to get it working - I suspect it was the name entry causing problems...

Nope, VISA debit. I've used a VISA debit card for the last 20 years. When i entered my data it clearly stated CC or VISA.

Are you going to be doing an enhanced version when the tablet comes out ?
I vowed long ago never to dev for a machine I don't actually own. I did it once and had 17 forum pages of bug reports and such (actually due to a bug in GLB), that I couldn't see or have foreseen. While I do trust others to big report, I'd much rather do it myself - much quicker when you can see the problems first hand.
On the other hand, if devving for Palm becomes profitable I might invest in a tablet. But there's sooo many other devices that are eying up my limited cash. :P
Yes, it's just so much trouble doing things for something you dont own - it's not worth the hassle.
By the way, did you phone the IRS with W7 and W-8BEN forms or was it posted ? I send (via post) W-7 off ages ago and haven't heard anything :(
At the moment, I'm hoping the VectorEditor program will go into the App Store (being free) with the tax information...
I faxed my W-8BEN to the number that Palm gave me. I haven't heard anything either.
My tax info was (surprisingly) accepted, as B'lox! and B'lox! Free are on the App Catalog - just need to see if I get paid for any sales.
You don't need to enter any tax info if the app is free, but you have to enter your tax info before you can submit a paid app.
