Ok, I have the ipk working.
Is this IPK the file I have to upload to Palm, or should I need to change somehting?
PS: Astounding to have a working app for ipad in just a matter of minutes! Great job Gernot and family!
Yup, the ipk is what you send them. It's really that easy.
LOL, they are not Apple =D
BTW, Dr. Shiver has 1 bad comment on Pal Market
LOL, 1 hour filling the App submision web, and it wants me to do it for free...
Now I am stuck in the "Non US taxpayers thing"
How do you solve it? Should I get in touch with my HP man?
I dont know at the moment - might have to email the UK branch of HP...
You have to send Palm a completed W8-BEN form.
Mind you, your previous message about it seemed to suggest that W-7 was also needed. And where that should go is rather vague :) It's contents also seem to be about how long you'll be staying in America too :/
I had thought, register myself for VAT. Unfortunately only people with a valid business model can do so :(
starting a business is $20 here.
Lucky :)
The Palm site has been changed recently, by the look of things to allow a Yes/No for "Registered For VAT"
I have sent the W-8BEN, but I am stuck here
The VAT thing yes/no is if you want to pay Ireland taxes or not, but I dont know what to put as "tax identification number", and in the field "registration number" that only appears if you choose "yes". No matter what I try, it always says "the number is not valid".
My spanish number is "52525252D" (false!) and it says to put my country number (34) but no luck with ay combination.

That number starts with a language Id. So mine is something like:
DE00700000001
Thx Gernot!
App Submited to Palm Shop!
It shows this error:

Yes, we all get this error. Can you contact Palm to have this fixed?

I think the error is because HP is still updating the App Catalog.

It looks like you also need to put "requiredMemory": if using type:"pdk" in the appinfo.json file.

That's pretty handy to know. Maybe Gernot can add that in the next update.
Cheers MillersZone :)
I put a default "25" in that json file.
How long does the HP review process take?
I submitted my app on Tuesday.
Apple is about a week.
Normally it should take round about 3 days (That´s what Palm says).
My app took a week, I think.
I've waited a fair few days for my app to be reviewed too.
