Title: Crash updating version to 9
Post by: pinete on 2011-Feb-09
Hi all,
I've a crash in the process of updating GLBasic from 8.200 to 9. The app just crashes not so long from the moment you click on the button "start update"..
Someone else has experienced this problem? how could I fix it?
I'm working with a windows 7 machine with a standard configuration without 'strange' things installed.. so really it's the same computer I use to work everyday with GLbasic..
Thanks in advance ;)

Try this:

- deinstall the current GLBasic
- Download the new one from here: http://www.glbasic.com/main.php?lang=de&site=download (http://www.glbasic.com/main.php?lang=de&site=download)
- Install the new one and be happy :)

Hope it works!

Yes - wait an hour. There was a serious bug in an update I uploaded. Tonight, OK?

Same crash happens for me moving from 8.x to 9.x on Windows XP on a bootcamped Mac

Mayor version changes I usually deinstall the old and download a new installer. Not sure if this is required but I do it anyway :-)

Yes. And the new updater (V9 already?) should issue this and tell you when there's a big step, that you need an upgrade setup.
