Hi,
GLBasic works well with Parallels on a iMac with Snow Leopard, right?
And can I use any Windows version, like Windows Home Basic, or I will need a better version?
Thanks,
Luis
I'm using Parallels on my Mac Mini with Windows XP Home Premium, but from what I've read you can use any version of Windows from 98 upwards.
The only problem I have is that GLBasic won't accept my registration code, and presumes that I am using the DEMO version :(
Hi Ian I use windows 7, on my mac mini, but I disanle aero, and works fine, well, if you open PS, someone 3D application and Glasic, perhaps crash the computer, but I use all this soft whit 2Gb of ram, and sometimes go down the speed of my mac mini. Now I use 4 Gb Ram, and runs very well.
PS: For Update memory on Mac, you have a shop in Usa, very cheaper, it´s called otherwolrd computing.

In Spain a 4Gb module is about 200€ , I buy in this shop for 60€ + - whit transport.
Im use XP SP2, installed, no updated, no drivers installed, only GLB , GraphicsGale and TilesStudio... on VirtualBox on 2006 old Macbook with 4gb ram.
Not very fast, but at the moment, works for me... ;)
Hark0, a question, how compile for iphone whit this old mac, this is PPC not Intel , no?¿, how makes runs the Xcode in this machine?¿.
Kinds Regards,
Iván J.
IIRC you can't use a non-Intel Mac to compile GLBasic code for iPhone.

Even if he uses Virtual Box, he won't be able to compile for iPhone on a PPC Mac :(

That's very strange. What does the registration yield when you press "License now" (or what it's called).
I'll have a looksee later. It's been a while and I can't remember exactly.

Nothing much you can do about that unfortunately.
I'm using Win2k in VirtualBox on OSX 10.6.
Everything runs fine, except the mouse in GLB executables - it lags horribly and it's not usable at all. So I have to test apps that rely on mouse input in OSX directly. Annoying.
I fixed some of the mouse issues in the latest beta SDK - did you try intsalling that?

Not in my mac... same OS... last GLB on XP sp2 ... and using mouse traditional... and Magic trackpad!!!
Have you tried disabling mouse integration ? On a Linux guest platform enabled the mouse doesn't work in GLBasic.

Apologies - it does work.
I must have mistyped the Registration code last time. I'm sure it said I was registered then too, but it seems to work fine now - obviously mistaken.

Thanks! It works now! :good:
Nice thing on Mac is, even if I disable mouse integration, multi-touch gestures on the trackpad still work! Expose or whatever it's called, I keep forgetting all those apple fancy terms for app switching. ;)
