Title: Apple developer Application
Post by: Leginus on 2010-Sep-29
Not 100% sure if this is in the right forum, so sorry if it isnt.

I just wondered how long you guys had to wait for your apple developer approval.  Mine is submitted in my company name (i guess this will slow it down a bit).

Oh and my mac has been posted :)

I got authorisation/approval the same day - within an hour IIRC.

mmm thats not filling me with confidence.  Was yours for a company or for yourself as an idividual?

Individual and personal.

The terms do state that it can take a week IIRC. Have you actually tried to log in? I didn't get my confirmation email for a couple of days afterwards, but I was able to log in and start developing almost straight away.

If I recall (it's been over a year), it did take over a week to get our approval, and I registered it as a company, which they state takes longer, for verifying etc.
Plus, being from Canada (or specifically, not being American) may have contributed.
And, over one year with a valid iPhone license, and I have yet to compile / test any app on my device!  Ha, procrastinator!  Hmm, maybe this weekend . . .  ;/  I want to enter that LudemDare challenge!

I can log into the website, but it says application received and being reviewed etc.  I am assuming this means that I cant develop as I need some developer key to put into xcode??

Well after all that panic, I have just had a response from apple (asking for more company documents), but at least a response.
thx for all our advice and support.  Sometimes just asking another opinion helps.

It can take up to a month for the initial go ahead.

I'd like to note that it's been one year with an Apple and GLB license.  :booze:
