Title: Interesting problem
Post by: MrTAToad on 2010-Aug-10
Busy re-writing my Spots game, and lo, what pops up ?  My AV (ESET) program deciding it doesn't like the output.bin file

10/08/2010 16:47:21   Real-time file system protection   file
C:\Users\Nicholas\AppData\Local\Temp\glbasic\output.bin
probably a variant of Win32/Genetik trojan
Event occurred on a file modified by the application: C:\Program Files (x86)\GLBasic_Beta\Compiler\platform\Win32\Bin\ld.exe.

I'm hoping the next definition update will sort it...

I have also in the past had problems with false positives on ld.exe with other AW.
Maybe there are some cheezy signatures floating around i the AW world (many og them exchange/buys signatures from eachother).

I had a false positive several weeks ago with something important - fortunately an AV updated sorted that...
