The DeleD 3D software modeller that was previously about $80 US (from memory) to purchase has just gone open source. It's not the best modeller in the world, but it isn't too bad either - it's a lot more intuitive to use than Blender. Hopefully it will improve quickly now it's open sourced (they're hoping for a 3 week release cycle on updates) so fingers crossed it'll soon be the best free 3D modeller around.

Interesting, will have to look into that one :-)
Can this be used to convert animated B3D models into a format supported by GLBasic?
It doesn't appear to support B3D models.
Oh well, it never hurts to ask. One day I will find a way to get the B3D models I bought converted into something GLBasic can use.
FutureCow, you sure? I found this last time I looked in the plugins area. Not that I've tried it and maybe it's too old or doesn't work, but this says import/export for B3D.

Oops sorry, the word "animated" got omitted.
I don't think it supports animated B3D models. I had looked at the same link and it doesn't mention "animated" which is what I based my post on. It may though, best thing to do is give it a try (I don't work with B3D models so I can't definitively say myself! Sorry about the mix-up.
I gave it a try, but I can't make heads or tails out of it. My offer I made a couple of years ago still stands, provided the quote is fair, I will gladly pay anybody who can convert my existing 3D models I bought into a format that will actually work with GLBasic.
Kuron, please send me a 3D file that you require conversion for GLB and I'll see what I can do!
Fragmotion is what I use, its a great little but powerful modeller/IK animator/converter... recommended!
Wings3D is also good for conversions.
