Title: iPhone smoothshading
Post by: kaotiklabs on 2009-Oct-02

This may be a stupid question.

Wich mode is best for performance on iPhone platform, smoothshading ON or OFF?

Sorry for this question, but I don?t get the point.

Smooth Shading ON will add interpolation to images if they are scaled and/or rotated, to make them look smoother. OFF leaves the images looking pixelated when scaled and/or rotated. This does make images noticeably blurrier.

I don't know how this affects iPhone - there doesn't seem to be a noticeable impact on GP2X or Wiz when on or off for the few things I've used it for.

on gp2x it's always off. On iPhone OFF *might* be faster.

That'll explain why there's no noticeable difference then :P
