I'm only interested in 2D modality to make remakes of old amstrad games.
Opengl slows down too much even in a :
Quote
- Pentium IV - 2400 MHz
- Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller
Installed OpenGL Properties (from Intel homepage):
-Vendedor Intel
- Renderer Intel 845G
- Versión 1.3.0 - Build 4.14.10.4342
Regards and sorry for my bad english
I would suggest updating your graphics drivers, as this is probably the cause of the slowdown. I am running some fairly demanding code on a laptop with only a 1gb drive and 128Mb RAM with minimal slowdown, so if your computer is suffering all the time, I doubt it is due to the hardware.
GLBasic games run pretty well on GP2X and that has much less power than even an old pc.
If all you're after is doing Amstrad remakes, then you are obviously doing something very wrong to lose speed.
BTW I'm an Amstraddict too, what game are you working on/considering? :)

Surely it is like you say (I am new with GLBASIC, only 4 days), but I have download the last drivers of DELL.COM and LAVALYS EVEREST and SISOFT SANDRA say that all is OK. I'll try to update again next monday (it's my office pc, in my home pc all is ok).
In other side, I have the same code in FENIX (DIV2), and run fine in both pc (home and office).

Yes, I know (I've he GP2X too and I made some games for it ;)
About the remake, (I expect that you do not bother) for now it's a secret :), I don't like to speak about my projects until they are 70-90 finished.
Again, thank to both, and sorry for my (very) limited english.
(Now, I'm go to make a deep search in forum to search some useful sources :))
