GLBasic Linux Programs in VMWare

Its more of a nuisance than a real problem (as the program works fine with a 'proper' Linux system), but I do find that VMWare wont run GLBasic programs - I get :

INIT: Unable to create 24 BPP -> trying 16.
Couldn't set GL mode: Couldn't find matching GLX visual

GLXinfo produces :

I do have VMWare's Linux graphics drivers installed by the way.

I suspect the lack of Direct Rendering is the cause, for some reason.  It should be noted that glxgears works fine.

The same thing also happens with VirtualBox too.

Hello

Both SDL_Mixer and stdlibc are installed.

I suspect the VMWare display, although saying its a 32/24 bit screen, probably isn't.

Its a shame as Windows works very will in VMWare.

MrTAToad

Should be noted that Ubuntu 8.1 will run GLBasic executables in VMWare.
