First run on Touchpad does not display anything on the screen

Has anyone else noticed this behavior? 

I compiled the samples like SphereMapping, 3DMaze, and Islands, and on each one, the first time I launch them on the Touchpad the display goes completely black and nothing happens no longer how long I leave the Touchpad alone.  To further test, I downloaded Glowing Sky Free from the HP App catalog because I had seen that this was a GLBasic program from the forums and I also had the same problem as well.  The "fix" is to put the application into card view and then bring it back to full screen and everything then appears.  Subsequent runs do not have this problem, it seems to only be first run.

The reviews in the HP Catalog show some people complaining it wont open, but I dont know for sure that this is the same problem.

No I don't get that. Don't think my TP or Pre2 have ever done that. My iOS devices have once or twice when in development.

Note though that the latest GLB seems to be freezing on the PC a lot more than it used to. Before I used to get it going wrong a fair bit on debug runs and main compiles froze about once a week. Now is about a couple of times a day even on non-debug runs. The solution is to kill the process off and run again or sometimes to also recompile.

I noticed that my game "sometimes" (about every 10th start?) freezes - black screen - when I start it. I think it's because it takes too much memory, but I have no real idea, yet. A 2nd start fixes this immediately, so I don't expect bad reviews.

The app with the reviews where people were complaining is "Glowing Sky Free" - please note this is not my app and I am not picking on that app, it just happens to be one that was free and I knew was written in GLBasic.   To see the reviews you have to go into the App Catalog and find Glowing Sky Free and then click on the "Negative reviews".  There are currently 10 in there, 5 of them talk about the app not opening or running.

Nah, it was because at first I setup it as compatible with Pixi and it wasn't. Anyway, this bad reviews as been good to me:

+13000 downloads and the pixi version is getting 1500. And the app is around 20th in games top list or something similar

So it sounds like the problem I am seeing is "just me", which makes me happy

I will be sure and post a beta of my app for others to try out before submitting to the app catalog.  Anybody have any idea how many Touchpad users we have on these forums?

Wow, nice one ampos. Did you get it reviewed anywhere or anything? I have about a 10th of that for my free Rotaslider game although pretty much did nothing after I released it.

Turnerb: there is a thread somewhere here that has an online spreadsheet to what devices people have. I would find it but I'm on an iPhone. It's about 6 or 7 of us I believe.

At first, it was released "for all the devices", including Pixi and TP.

But it didnt work for Pixi and got many bad reviews saying "it doesn't work!" and others saying "yes, it does". They start some kind of flame war about yes-no, but this comments just make noticeable the app, rolling the ball more and more.

Also, my Pre2, for some reason, do not let me write comments, so I can not put a comment about "I know, a pixi version is on his way". And if you try to change the app description text, it has to be approved by HP (not as on iOS that is instantaneous), so any change takes 1 week.

This let the field for the trolls alone, and the bad and good reviews continued this flame war.

I have not made anything to promote the app, and as far as I know, there is nothing on the web about it (I have setup google alerts).

On september, this 12000 free downloads has converted in 120 sales, a 10% return. On ios, this 10% too, 1000 free, 17 paid. On android, 342/12.

I searched the forums for "Device" and "Spreadsheet", could not find the spreadsheet anywhere...  I was going to add my equipment to the list in case anyone needed things tested on Touchpad, Pre-, Pre, Pixi-, iPad, Android, MacBookPro, Blackberry (coming soon right ).
