Do you mean an on-screen joypad ? Or are you referring to the joystick commands (which also work with joypads) ?

I have a logitech one here, you can go around using the joy commands on GLBasic just fine.
There is no mistery to pc/mac joy as far as I know. I works all fine.

I have not used a joypad in GLB for quite a while but yes the JOY commands worked fine. Just make sure it's connected before running your program otherwise it might not get detected or you might get some very odd results from the commands.
