Sometimes when I double-click a .gbap project file, GLBasic will open just fine with the project, but when I go to press F5 to compile/run, it will tell me to "configure the application," and even if I set it to win32 and hit apply, it gives me the same thing. While it's in this weird sort of "mood," every time I press save, it asks me where to save it (even if I didn't change anything.) Upon selecting the same file I opened to overwrite it, it pops up with a strange sort of message and goes back to the code window. Closing GLBasic and running GLBasic again by itself will usually fix it, and from there I can just open the project file from "Recent" and it'll load up. This bug has only happened when opening an associated .gbap file, and not otherwise. It's occurred maybe 6-7 times now. Is it something I'm doing wrong?

GLBasic - en / Wifi Network
2010-May-19
I've got the basics of networking in GLBasic down pretty well, I've made a graphical move-around-and-talk chat room. As some of you may know, the GP2X Wiz will have a wifi-adapter available soon. In preparation in advance, I would like to know if there is a way to directly communicate with another Wiz locally. Is it possible to create sort of an ad-hok network without an actual wifi spot within reach, like the Nintendo DS?

GLBasic - en / Textures
2010-May-16
I'm sure that this has been mentioned before, because I remember someone else mentioning this... however:
Anything 3D I compile for the GP2X-Wiz looks really... awkward. The models are all correct, but the textures do not bend with the camera angle correctly, so everything jumps around and looks distorted. There are some official SDK documents now that outline OpenGL programming for the Wiz, is there any way this could be fixed in the future? I'm in no rush because I'm still learning, but I'd just like to know if there's something special I can do with the textures in the meantime to make it at least look like... texture. Thanks!

This may be a terribly stupid question, but I want to be able to quit an application in the Wiz, but volume +&- is rather silly. I know how to disable that from working, but there seems to be no way to just get back to the wiz's menu screen. END doesn't do the trick. Help?

GLBasic - en / Midi support
2010-Apr-30
I read somewhere that the wiz "may not" play midis through GLbasic. The one I attempted did not work on the console. Is there a small workaround to get it to play them, or am I going to have to stick with wav/mp3?

Off Topic / GP2X
2010-Apr-30
I recently got a GP2X-Wiz. I absolutely love it - the thing is an emulation monster. NES, Snes, Genesis, PCE, MSX, Atari 800XL, and Arcade are absolutely stunning on this handheld. What makes me a little upset (and I bet a few others feel the same way,) is that it seems like developers are "holding back" because they want to develop for the Pandora. I don't see the Wiz and the Pandora as even the same type of device. One is a freakin' netbook with SD card slots for a hard drive, and one is an open-source gaming hand-held. Sure, Pandora is a neat idea, but they've gone too far into the laptop-realm. Also, given the starting price, it'd be a pretty big investment. Does anyone else feel the same way, or am I the only one who doesn't see the Pandora as a shiny holy-grail-esque figure?

GLBasic - en / Registration?
2010-Apr-28
Hello. I tested out the demo and compiled a program for the GP2X-Wiz successful, and decided it's something I want to learn, so I went ahead and bought the premium SDK through PayPal. Everything went through, and the money was deducted from my account - but I now have no registration code! I checked my email and no dice so far. Is there some special way to claim my product registration???
